The client underwent an attempted endometrial ablation which had to be abandoned as a result of alleged negligence. Our client was then advised to undergo a laparoscopic subtotal hysterectomy against NICE guidelines and as such this went ahead without her informed consent. During this procedure our client sustained a perforated bladder resulting in a fistula and the need for further surgery.
We alleged that the treatment received was carried out negligently and without informed consent.
We have recently managed to settle the claim for £50,000.00.
