We acted on behalf of a widower against an NHS Trust.

This was an extremely complex intensive care case. At a point in 2011 the Deceased underwent a right total hip replacement, they then underwent a revision in the following month. The Deceased was admitted to hospital three months later for a washout of the left hip, it was alleged that on the admission to hospital that there was a failure to recognise that the Deceased was in early haemodynamic shock and as a result there was a delay in providing the intensive care treatment that was required.

It was alleged that as a result of the Trusts failures the Deceased passed away.

The claim was successfully brought on behalf of both the estate of the Deceased, together with a dependency claim on behalf of the widower.
